As Nokia's London based design research team, we were responsible for exploratory field research and analysis leading to yearly design briefs, for co-creation and validation efforts in product design and development. We structured projects based on internal strategies and trends research, conducting global primary research efforts in collaboration with external consultancies. This crutially involved taking designers to the field and helping them translate their observations into design insights. We worked internally in the development of the findings into tangible design briefs and concepts, and followed up with product co-creation and feedback throughout the design of the devices. My involvement ranged from initial scoping and planning of the projects, brief writing, comissioning, project management, fieldwork and capture, to the download of insights, analysis and delivery of final outputs to the design teams and wider business stakeholders.
